How Soon After Childbirth Can I Have a Mommy Makeover?

The Mommy Makeover is a combination of multiple plastic surgery procedures. The surgery is used to restore the pre-pregnancy appearance of women, with a focus on the breasts, localized areas of the body, and the abdominal region. Normally, a Mommy Makeover comprises of a breast augmentation, a tummy tuck, and a liposuction.

One of the common questions of many women is, “How soon after childbirth can I have a Mommy Makeover?” This question is relevant as well as important. Ideally, you should consider a Mommy Makeover if pregnancy has negatively affected the aesthetic profile of your body—for example, if your breasts have become smaller and saggy, your tummy has become hanging, and fat pockets have grown in localized areas of your body.

If your weight has stabilized after pregnancy and childbirth, you may qualify for a Mommy Makeover if you meet all other eligibility criteria for the surgery. It is important to understand  figure even years after a single pregnancy or multiple pregnancies. In fact, there are many women who wait for many years after childbirth before having the Mommy Makeover.

One of the most important things to remember is that each patient has a different period  to go through before having the Mommy Makeover surgery. Exactly when you should schedule the surgery depends on how well your body has recuperated and stabilized after childbirth. It depends on the amount of time your body needs to become normal and stable after experiencing pregnancy and childbirth. Of course, you may choose to breastfeed your baby for some months; remember though that the Mommy Makeover is not recommended for breastfeeding women.

Majority of the plastic surgeons agree that patients should wait for four to six months after pregnancy so their breasts and other body parts can stabilize and recover to whatever extent they can through the natural process. After the sixth month, if you feel that your body has stopped improving and has hit maturity, you may book a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. The plastic surgeon will assess the body areas affected by pregnancy and examine your overall health to determine whether it’s time for you to undergo Mommy Makeover.

The Mommy Makeover is effective whether you gave natural birth or through C-section. The good news is that the surgery can also treat the scarring and loose skin resulting from a C-section. Furthermore, if you got a hernia about your belly button after giving birth to more than one child, the surgeon can also repair the condition through the Mommy Makeover or improve the appearance aesthetically.

It is always recommended that you go for a Mommy Makeover after your family is complete because pregnancy after the surgery can affect the aesthetic results. Also, be sure to take your time after pregnancy and childbirth in deciding whether to go for Mommy Makeover or not. You should avoid rushing for the procedure; instead, wait for your body to heal naturally.

Combining butt implants with fat transfer

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Combining butt implants with fat transfer. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.
Welcome back! Many patients come to my clinic and ask me which one is the best procedure for them: butt implants or fat transfer. While many tend to be more interested in fat transfer, there are others who are aware of the undeniable benefits of using implants when trying to augment an area of the body.
During the butt implant surgery, we insert silicone implants into each of the butt cheeks of the patient to add volume. During the fat transfer procedure, we first collect the fat from other areas of the body, then purify it and reinject it on the buttocks. To transfer the fat, we use syringes that infuse the fat at different depths and all over the area.
Depending on the particular characteristics of the patient and the goals she has in mind for the procedure, we can use one or either methods, but also we can combine them for an improved aesthetic result.
For patients who have little fat tissue in other areas of the body, the butt implants will be necessary to achieve the increase in size. However, if we can collect a few hundred CCs of fat from the donor areas, we can use it to contour the buttocks and give it a nice shape.
The butt implants need to be positioned in a certain spot in the buttocks. They can’t go anywhere as it can ruin the aesthetics of the area. This means that we will position the implants on the center of the buttocks and at the same time enhance the shape by injecting fat on the sides and under the area where the implant is. In my experience, the results are always better when the butt implants are combined with autologous fat transfer.
When the patient has buttocks that are too flat or with insufficient tissue to properly cover the implants, the fat transfer is always a good option to perform in combination. This way we can shape the butt and make it look more natural.
The fat transfer to the buttocks is a good idea also when having in mind the consistency of the buttocks. The butt implants are filled with a highly cohesive gel, and this means they feel like toned muscles to the touch. When adding fat to the mix, the consistency of the buttock can change significantly.
In this video we discuss: Combining butt implants with fat transfer. Next week, will discuss: Why silicone injection into the butt is a bad idea. Why silicone injected into the butt is a bad idea

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Why silicone injection into the butt is a bad idea. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.
Welcome back! In a bid to go with the big booty trend and enhance their body aesthetics, many women are taking extreme decisions like getting silicone injected into their buttocks. In order to save some dollars, they are completely ignoring their surgeons’ recommendations and warnings and exposing themselves to life-threatening risks.
There are two safer and popular procedures to add projection and shape to your rear ends; one involves the use of your own body fat, and the other involves the placing of prosthetic implants inside your buttocks. Both of these procedures have been studied and practiced for decades now. They are safer methods.
However, since fat transfer and butt implants are expensive, many patients go for the cheaper, illegal practice that involves injecting dangerous liquid silicone in the buttocks. The liquid silicone injections can cause a number of health complications like embolism, chronic discomforts, and granulomas. It can even lead to permanent disability and death of the patient.
In most cases, unlicensed practitioners on the black market perform silicone injection procedures. They don’t care about your health and aesthetics. Their only concern is to rob you off your hard earned money. When you get silicone injections, your buttocks may appear projected and beautiful in the start. After a few weeks or months, the side effects would start cropping in. In some cases, the side effects may take even years to transpire.
Most patients who have undergone silicone injections have complained of extremely burning sensations in different areas of their body and unbearable pain. Also, the liquid silicone can move to other areas of your body, triggering major health complications. There is no doubt that in the end, you will seek treatment to get rid of the side effects and unbearable symptoms of the silicone injection.
The difference between the liquid silicone injection and silicone butt implant is that the former is in liquid form and illegal, whereas the latter is FDA approved and comprises of a silicone shell prefilled with silicone gel. If you are considering buttock augmentation, never fall into the hands of black market operators.
Instead, consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon and explore the safer options. Remember, you may save some money by getting silicone injections; however, the cost of treatment of the side effects of the silicone injection is far more expensive than undergoing safer procedures like butt implant surgery or fat transfer to the buttocks.

In this video we discuss: Why silicone injection into the butt is a bad idea. Next week, will discuss: Can I use someone else’s fat for buttock augmentation. Can I use someone else’s fat for buttock augmentation?

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Can I use someone else’s fat for buttock augmentation?. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.

Welcome back! Fat transfer to the butt, more popular as the Brazilian butt lift, is an effective and popular plastic surgery intervention. The procedure delivers natural and safer outcomes because it uses your own body fat to help you achieve the desired aesthetic goals. In order to qualify for the fat transfer procedure, you need to have excess, unwanted fat in your body.
While many patients have excess fat in localized areas of their bodies like the abdomen, sides, flanks, thighs, upper back, and arms, there are others who are slim and lack enough donor fat. As such, they wonder whether other people can donate fat to them for the surgery.
Unfortunately, you cannot use someone else’s fat for transfer to your butt or other body areas unless the donor is your identical twin. Fat transfer is basically a tissue transfer, which is not possible without an identical match of tissue. If someone else’s fat is used, your immune system will consider it a foreign agent and reject it. The fat will not survive as a result. You will notice that the fat has melted away within some weeks.
There are many patients who argue that since organs like kidneys can be donated, why can’t fat? First off, when it comes to organ donation, the donor and the recipient’s closest tissue matching is critical in that as well. Despite this, the patient’s immune system attacks the organ, considering it a foreign object. In order to avoid this, the patient is put on immunosuppressant drugs for the rest of his or her life. Even then, the immune system could damage the donated organ, and the immunosuppressant medications come with life-threatening risks and side effects.
Fortunately, you still have options to consider if you lack enough body fat to qualify for the fat transfer surgery. First, you may opt to get implants to make your butt fuller and shapelier. If you don’t want to get butt implants, you can gain weight to be considered for fat transfer in future. I have seen many patients who have successfully gained enough weight within a few months to qualify for the fat transfer procedure.
In this video we discuss: Can I use someone else’s fat for buttock augmentation? Next week, will discuss: Weight loss after fat transfer to the buttocks. Weight loss after fat transfer to the buttocks

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Weight loss after fat transfer to the buttocks. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.

Welcome back! Fat transfer to the buttocks provides natural, effective, and long-lasting outcomes. However, for the results to remain with you in the long run, you need to maintain a stable weight. Drastic weight loss after the intervention can affect the achieved results in negative ways.
When the excess fat is removed from different areas of your body and injected into the buttocks, your body starts treating the transferred fat just like the fat in other areas of your body. After transferring the fat to the buttocks, your body gradually vascularizes the fat cells, meaning that it establishes blood flow to them. This helps the fat cells survive and behave just like the fat in other parts of the body.
As a result of this phenomenon, drastic weight loss will affect your buttocks in the same way as it does in other areas of the body. Substantial weight loss will shrink the fat cells because nutrients will not be available to them. In the case of extreme weight loss, some of the fat cells may even die.
When the fat cells in your buttocks shrink, it causes the buttocks to decrease in size and lose the achieved shape to some extent. On the other hand, weight gain will do the opposite. It will lead to growth and expansion of the fat cells and may even trigger the birth of new fat cells.
After the fat transfer to the buttocks, you must stick to a stable weight to maintain the achieved results. You should be sure to eat a healthy and balanced diet. Doing so will make the outcomes of the intervention permanent, and you will not need any touch-up fat injections in the future.
If you have already experienced drastic weight loss after fat transfer to the buttocks and the shape and volume of your buttocks have changed, you should gain weight. This will help the fat cells expand again.
The best way to avoid change in your butt size or contour after the fat transfer is to maintain a balanced weight from the start.

Butt implant augmentation procedure

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Butt implants augmentation procedures steps. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.

Welcome back! Buttock implant surgery is a popular and effective method to make your butt fuller, shapelier, and voluptuous. The procedure involves the use implants, which are made of highly durable, semi-solid silicone material. Butt implant augmentation is performed under general anesthesia.
The major steps involved in butt implant augmentation are:
1. Placement of incision
2. Placement and positioning of the implant
3. Closing of the incisions
Let’s discuss these steps in details.
Step 1: The surgeon will make the incision in the intergluteal fold of both sides of your buttocks.
Step 2: In the second step, the surgeon will insert the implants through the incision inside the butt. The size of the implants and your aesthetic goals will determine the size of the incision. The implant will then be placed and positioned within the gluteal muscle. Most surgeons prefer to place the implant within or below the gluteal muscle because the implants get maximum tissue coverage in these positions.
Step 3: After both implants have been properly placed and positioned inside the butt, the incisions are closed and sutured in the third step. Drains are placed.
Some of the improvements in your buttocks will be immediately visible after the surgery. However, the complete outcome of the augmentation will gradually transpire, as the post-operative swelling and bruising disappear over the next few weeks or months and your body recuperates from the surgical trauma.
The good news is that the results of the butt implant augmentation are permanent as long as other complications like infections and capsular contracture do not occur.

In this video we discuss: Butt implants augmentation procedures steps. Next week, will discuss: Butt implants & capsule contracture. Benefits of fat transfer to the butt

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: The benefits of fat transfer to the buttock. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.
Welcome back! The autologous fat transfer to the buttocks is nowadays a very in-demand plastic surgery procedure used to enhance the appearance of the buttocks. Many patients consider it the best option when it comes to increasing the size of the buttocks as it uses no foreign objects, the recovery period is not very long, and the improvement in the silhouette contour is visible.
So what are the benefits of the fat transfer to the buttocks?
1. A natural aspect and consistency of the buttocks
The buttocks are naturally made out of fat and muscle. When using lipofilling to augment the size of the buttocks, we transfer fat, and this is a normal component of the area. This means that the result will look completely natural and the consistency of the butt will be no different than a normal buttock. Because there are no silicone implants, the normally positioned fat will give a natural firmness to the area.
2. It is a two-in-one intervention
The condition to benefit from the fat transfer procedure is to have at least one donor area from where the plastic surgeon has to extract the fat needed for the transfer. This means that during the procedure, the donor area will be treated with liposuction, hence its contours are greatly improved. During this intervention, you can sculpt some areas of your body that have excess fat deposits and also augment the buttocks.
3. Almost invisible scars
For the fat transfer, the plastic surgeon will only make very small incisions to introduce the cannulas to harvest the fat from the donor areas. In other words, the incision sites are tiny. The scars will be very small and practically invisible. The fat is then introduced into the buttocks via syringes.
4. Fast recovery and minimum amount of pain
The recovery after the fat transfer to the buttocks is much shorter than butt implant surgery. The procedure is also almost pain-free. However, keep in mind that you will be required to avoid sitting on your buttocks for at least three weeks until the fat transfer gets a new blood network.
5. A buttock as big as you want
When it comes to butt implants, there is a limit to the size of the implants. But for butt augmentation with fat transfer, we can use as much as 1 liter of fat to increase the size of the buttocks. Of course, the requirement is for the patient to have deposits of fat in other areas of the body. Also, keep in mind that repetitive procedures might be needed to achieve the size you desire.
The butt augmentation with fat transfer is a good option encompassing many benefits for people who are eligible candidates for the procedure.

In this video we discuss: The benefits of fat transfer to the buttock. Next week, will discuss: Combining butt implants with fat transfer. Remember to comment below, share this video, like this video, and subscribe to our channel for more information, here at the Bootyman channel, only on YouTube.

Treatment options for saggy buttocks

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Treatment options for saggy buttocks. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.
Welcome back! The buttocks become saggy as a result of factors like aging, gravity, loss of skin elasticity, genetic tendencies, pregnancies, and drastic weight changes. The buttocks are an important part of the human body, and there is no doubt that saggy buttocks appear aesthetically unappealing. The modern standards of beauty require women to have firmer, perkier, and toned buttocks.
No matter what has caused your buttocks to sag, there are options available to treat the condition. Which option is suitable for you depends on the extent of sagginess in the buttocks and your aesthetic goals.
If your buttocks are mildly saggy and the condition is affecting your self-esteem, you may consider butt augmentation surgery. If there is excess fat in your body, it can be removed and grafted in your buttocks to treat the mild sagginess.
During the procedure, liposuction is used to remove the excess fat from body areas like the abdomen and then transferred to the buttocks. The fat will fill the loose skin, which will make your buttocks firmer and youthful.
On the other hand, butt implants of small sizes can be used to treat mildly saggy buttocks. The implants will be placed inside through incisions. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and on an outpatient basis. The implants come in different sizes, but patients should avoid getting large implants because that would make the buttocks saggier.
On the other hand, if your buttocks are moderately or extremely saggy, you should consider the butt lift surgery. During the surgery, which is performed under general anesthesia, the excess skin will be surgically removed from your buttocks together with the excess fat that might be catalyzing the condition. The incisions will then be sutured and closed.
Some of the results of the butt lift may be immediately visible. However, complete aesthetic outcomes of the procedure will be noticeable only after the post-operative swelling has disappeared and your body has recuperated from the surgical trauma. Your buttocks will become firmer, perkier, sensuous, and aesthetically appealing. The improvements in your buttocks will make you appear youthful.
To conclude, buttock implants and fat transfer are effective for treating mildly saggy buttocks, and the traditional butt lift procedure is suitable for treating severely or moderately saggy buttocks.

In this video we discuss: Treatment options for saggy buttocks. Next week, will discuss: What to expect during the recovery after Brazilian butt lift. Can I use implants to correct asymmetric buttocks?

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Can I use implants to correct asymmetric buttocks? In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures. (smile)

Welcome back! Asymmetric buttocks look aesthetically unattractive. While a minor difference in the size or shape of the buttocks is not noticeable, moderate to severe unevenness between the buttocks can be easily noticed. Asymmetric buttocks also affect your overall body outline.
The good news is that some forms of butt asymmetries can be corrected via butt implant surgery. In order to know if butt implant surgery can treat your butt asymmetry, you should consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon.
During the consultation, the doctor will examine your buttocks and ask you about your aesthetic goals and expectations. Your health would also be evaluated. Based on the findings, the doctor will tell you if you are a good candidate for butt implant surgery.
If one of your buttocks is smaller than the other, butt implant surgery can effectively treat the condition. The surgeon will take measurements of your buttocks and recommend you a particularly sized implant. In most cases, the surgery will be performed on the smaller butt. After the procedure, both buttocks will become equally sized.
However, depending on the aesthetic shortcomings and flaws, it may become necessary to place implants in both buttocks so they can become symmetrical. Implants are mostly used where the butt asymmetry is moderate or severe. Minor asymmetry is often corrected via a fat transfer procedure.
Furthermore, if one of your buttocks is flatter and falling lower than the other, it can be corrected by inserting a smaller butt implant inside the affected buttock. Depending on your aesthetic needs, it may become necessary to place different sized implants in both buttocks or combine butt implant surgery with the fat transfer procedure to treat the condition.
Butt implant surgery to correct buttock asymmetry is performed under general anesthesia. During the procedure, the implant will be inserted into the butt and placed under, within, or above the gluteal muscle through the incisions. The incisions will then be sutured and closed.
Every patient with asymmetrical buttocks has unique aesthetic needs. Moreover, the type of butt asymmetry also differs from patient to patient. A customized solution is critical to treat the butt asymmetry in each patient properly.
For some patients, placing an implant in one butt would treat the condition, whereas others would need implant placement in both buttocks. Still, others would require a combo of butt implant and fat transfer procedure to treat butt asymmetry effectively.

In this video we discuss: Can I use implants to correct asymmetric. Next week, will discuss: 5 Things you didn’t know about butt implants. Abnormal scarring after buttock implant surgery

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Abnormal scarring after buttock implants surgery. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.
Welcome back! Any procedure that involves incisions leads to the development of scars, and butt implant surgery is no exception. Your body reacts against the incisions made to place the implants in your buttocks by forming scars to heal them. The scar is basically created by the myofibroblasts and collagen fibers generated by the body as a natural reaction against the surgical wound.
In most cases, the scar is normal and looks flat. It gradually fades and becomes less noticeable over time. Typically, it takes years for butt implant scars to become unnoticeable. However, the scar does not completely disappear. It will stay with you for a lifetime.
There are some patients who have a genetic predisposition to develop more disruptive, abnormal, or unsightly scars. For example, when the body reacts by creating too much collagen to heal the incision, a raised or large scar may be formed.
Furthermore, carelessness on the part of the patient during recovery can also trigger the development of abnormal scars after buttock implant surgery. Other factors that may trigger the creation of abnormal scars include the surgical technique used, your overall health condition, and the surgeon’s skills and experience.
Abnormal scars are bad scars. They have the tendency to unfold any time after butt implant surgery. There are two types of unsightly, abnormal, and undesirable scars: hypertrophic scars and keloid scars. While both of these scars are unwelcoming, keloids are more raised, evident, and intense because they appear in the shape of a cauliflower. They are rare but difficult to treat.
Hypertrophic scars are formed as a result of keeping the incision under stress or pressure. For example, when the incision is sutured and closed under high tension or when the patients make a lot of movements during recovery, it may lead to the development of hypertrophic scars.
In order to avoid the development of abnormal scars after buttock implant surgery, be sure to share your complete health and medication history with the surgeon before the procedure. Also, choose your surgeon carefully, avoid physically strenuous activities, and follow the surgeon’s instructions during the recovery period. Doing so will help prevent abnormal scarring after the procedure.

In this video we discuss: Abnormal scarring after buttock implants surgery. Next week, will discuss: Butt implant settle and drop after surgery. Fat placement over buttock implants

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman. Today we are going to discuss: Fat placement over buttock implants. In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.

Welcome back! One of the common questions asked by patients considering buttock implant surgery is whether they can get fat placement over butt implants. The answer is that yes, it is absolutely possible to get fat transfer in association with or after butt implant surgery.
Depending on your aesthetic requirement, goals, and flaws in your buttocks, you may qualify for fat placement over buttock implants. There are some patients who undergo butt implant surgery with their aesthetic preferences changing over time. They may want to have bigger or more enhanced buttocks. Fat placement over the butt implants can make their buttocks bigger and more attractive.
Some patients should undergo a combo of fat transfer and butt implant surgery at once. I personally recommend patients who desire to have large and shapelier buttocks to undergo butt implant surgery and fat transfer to the buttocks at once.
Fat placement over butt implants comes with a host of benefits. First off, you will achieve the hourglass body. The fat from your abdomen and sides will be removed via liposuction, which will make your waist slimmer. The removed fat will then be transferred to the buttocks and hips, which will make them fuller and wider. As a result, your body will appear curvaceous and sensuous.
Patients should remember that butt implants are famous for allowing you to achieve bigger buttocks whereas the fat transfer is popular for delivering shapely buttocks. If you desire to achieve both bigger and shapelier buttocks, you should go for the combination of the two procedures.
Fat placement over butt implants can introduce dramatic improvements to your buttocks and overall body in terms of aesthetics. Fortunately, when the fat is placed over the implants, it softens the feel of the buttocks by acting as an extra layer of insulation and providing an additional layer of tissue coverage to the implants.
The idea of placing fat over the gluteal implants is not new. In fact, plastic surgeons have been practicing it for years. There is no harm in placing fat over the implants. Doing so comes with many benefits.
Patients desirous of achieving the hourglass shape or bigger and shapelier buttocks must communicate their interest in the combination of butt implants and fat transfer during the consultation. If you already have butt implants, you can still qualify for fat placement over the implants if there is excess fat in your body.

Pregnancy can introduce a number of negative changes in a woman’s body. You cannot undo most of these changes through exercise and diet. The Mommy Makeover is a holistic and effective plastic surgery procedure that treats a wide-range of aesthetic problems introduced into your body by pregnancy.

Due to the hormonal changes, your breasts will increase in size during pregnancy and then become loose and decrease in size after childbirth. As a result, your breasts will appear aesthetically unappealing. If it is your first pregnancy, your breasts may retract to their original shape after a few months or a year; however, women who have had multiple pregnancies will have to use external interventions to fix the aesthetic problems in their breasts.

Moreover, the growth of the baby in the womb will stretch out your abdomen, which will then cause it to become saggy after childbirth. If you’ve had multiple pregnancies, chances are the abdominal sagginess will not reverse naturally. You may also get stretch marks on the abdomen in addition to getting loose abdominal muscles and surplus skin and fat in the tummy.

Another common anatomical problem that women often experience after pregnancy is the development of stubborn deposits of fat in different areas of the body. The common areas that are affected by the fat pockets include the abdomen, sides, flanks, love handles, thighs, and back. Due to the collection of fat deposits in these areas, your overall aesthetic profile will be negatively affected.

This is where the Mommy Makeover comes in to help. The operation is a combination of the most necessary plastic surgery procedures. In most cases, the Mommy Makeover comprises of liposuction, breast enhancement, and tummy tuck. Combined, these procedures will treat each of the aesthetic problems described above.

The breast enhancement procedure will treat the aesthetic flaws caused to your breasts by pregnancy. If your breasts have become smaller, breast implants will be used to restore their size. If your breasts have become smaller and saggy, breast lift and breast implants will be used in combination. After the procedure, your breasts will increase in size and appear fuller. The breast implant surgery involves placement of prosthetic devices called silicone implants inside of your breasts, which results in the increased size of the breasts.

On the other hand, the tummy tuck surgery treats the saggy abdomen. It involves excision of the excess skin and fat from the abdomen, besides the tightening and repairing of the abdominal wall muscles damaged by pregnancy. After the procedure, your abdomen will appear tighter, firmer, toned, smoother, and beautiful.  This improvement will help enhance your overall body profile.

Lastly, the liposuction procedure is used to contour your body by removing the stubborn fat pockets from localized areas of the body. The procedure involves the use of special cannula connected with a suction pump. The cannula is moved back and forth to dislodge the fat from each target area. The extracted fat is then removed with the help of the suction pump. After liposuction, your body profile and outline will improve, and you’ll appear younger and aesthetically appealing.

How to ensure you get satisfactory results after a butt enhancement procedure

When considering undergoing a plastic surgery intervention, there are a few things you need to do to ensure you get satisfactory results after the procedure. Even if most procedures have been performed with a high satisfaction rate for years now, there is still a chance of getting unsatisfactory results after the surgery. There are cases of different people who underwent plastic surgery only to be disappointed with the results which can be seen in mass media every month.

In this article, we will discuss about the variety of butt enhancement procedures and what the patient can do to ensure that they get satisfactory results.

Details about the butt augmentation procedure

If you’ve already discovered that doing sports and strenuous physical exercises do not help to increase what nature has not given you, undergoing plastic surgery can be your only solution. It offers two methods for the butt augmentation procedure: silicone implants surgery or by transferring fat from the other areas of your own body into the buttocks.

Both procedures are safe, commonly performed nowadays, and provide impressive results. However, the results achieved when using implants are different from the ones that occur after the fat transfer to the buttocks. It is also important to remember that the size and shape of your buttocks after the surgery will ultimately depend on the initial gluteal tissue. Plastic surgery will certainly improve your back end, but it can’t work miracles and turn an almost non-existent buttock into a back side like J. Lo’s.

Butt augmentation with silicone implants

This procedure increases the volume of the buttocks permanently. It is the only possible surgery when there is not enough fat in other areas of the body to perform a fat transfer to the buttocks.

Using silicone implants accentuates the definition of the buttocks, especially when this procedure is combined with liposuction of the nearby areas, such as the thighs and the waist.

It gives balance to the body shape of the people who exercise to develop and bring out their muscles but do not succeed in developing the buttocks as much as the rest of their body.

Butt augmentation with lipo filling

This procedure can also deliver permanent results; however, for the results to be sustained for a long time the patient needs to maintain a constant weight. Any weight loss that occurs after the procedure has been performed can affect the appearance of the buttock. Fat injections have more chance of success in the buttocks than in other areas of the body since the natural features of the buttocks make them suitable for accumulating adipose tissue. However, it must be taken into account that sometimes the volume obtained in the procedure can be partially reduced over the next few months, because the body will absorb a certain percentage of the fat transferred.

The buttocks become more visible not only because of the increase in volume but also by the contrast of the neighboring areas, the volume of which is reduced during the collection of fat with liposuction. It just means that if your waist and thighs get smaller and the surplus fat is injected into the buttocks, the effects of the procedure are more visible.

Overview of the butt augmentation procedure

Both interventions are performed under general anesthesia for the comfort of the patient and because they can be quite lengthy. The procedures can take up to two hours or more, depending on the complexity of each case. When the butt implants surgery is combined with the fat transfer to the buttocks, the operation time increases significantly, but the results are not superior to the ones achieved after undergoing only one of the two procedures.

After the butt augmentation is performed, the patient is required to rest in the medical facility for a few hours, until the effects of the general anesthesia have worn. Just make sure to have a friend or a family member to drive you home after the surgery because you won’t be able to drive yourself as you are still under the influence of painkillers and sitting directly on the buttocks must be avoided after the intervention.

The procedures are not painful, but a certain discomfort can be felt in the butt area. Pain medication and antibiotics will be prescribed by the plastic surgeon to help you manage the pain and keep the infections at bay.

How to get satisfactory results after the butt enhancement procedures

Both procedures have more or less the same instructions for a faster recovery period and to achieve satisfactory results. Here are some things you need to do to make sure you will be pleased with the results:

1. Choose your plastic surgeon wisely

Many people tend to believe that if a plastic surgeon is great with face lifts, then he will automatically do an amazing job with butt augmentations too. This is not always the case. At the present time, we live in a quite specialized society where experienced professionals tend to focus on one distinctive area in their field. The plastic surgeon that you will choose to perform your butt augmentation needs to be highly experienced in performing this type of procedure. He should also be board-certified as this is a guarantee that he has the accreditation and has performed hundreds of procedures in the past.

Butt surgery is not as easy as it seems and requires a specific sense of aesthetics, as well as impeccable surgical skills.

Make sure to check or ask for before and after pictures of other patients he had performed surgery on to see what you can expect in terms of the results of the intervention.

2. Don’t sit or lie on your back side

This might sound like a small thing, but this recommendation is probably one of the most important things the patient needs to remember after a buttock surgery. It can be quite difficult to avoid sitting on the buttocks, especially for someone used to sit in an office all day long, but the results of your intervention depend on it. Applying too much pressure on the buttocks after undergoing a butt implant surgery or a fat transfer to the buttocks can cause the butt implants to get displaced or the fat to die. The implants and the fat transferred need to settle into its new environment. The implants will settle into their pockets inside the muscles and the fat transferred will get a new blood supply that will ensure its survival. But this can take quite some time. This is why it is not recommended to sit or lie on the buttocks for at least a few weeks after the surgery is performed. If fat was transferred to the hips too during the procedure, it will be instructed to avoid lying on your sides too.

3. Keep the area clean

It is very important to maintain proper hygiene at the surgical site during the healing process. The scar is generally 6-7cm long after a butt implants surgery, but you have nothing to worry about because it will remain well-hidden in the fold between the butt cheeks.

In the case of a buttock augmentation by lipo filling, there will be a small scar in each of the areas from which the fat was removed. Since they measure less than 3 mm, they are really hard to see.

As we have mentioned above, you can only lie on your stomach until the stitches are removed. From the seventh day, you will be able to sit down again and go back to work, if this does not require you to spend a long time sitting.

4. Wear the compression garments

Your plastic surgeon will advise you to wear compression garments non-stop after the butt enhancement procedure was performed. It only means that the compression garment should only be removed when showering and then put it back on again after. This is another essential part of the recovery process that will guarantee to help you achieve satisfactory results after the procedure. The buttocks will need support and compression after the surgery, so make sure to wear the compression clothing for as long as the plastic surgeon recommends it.

Conclusion

In general, the increase in the volume of the buttocks offers a long-lasting and very satisfactory result for a vast majority of patients. Your new curves will make your silhouette look more feminine. Keep in mind that undergoing a butt enhancement procedure is an important and personal decision and it should not be taken lightly. During the recovery after a butt augmentation, the patient needs to actively work towards the end goal of achieving satisfactory results after the intervention. Moreover, it can be quite taxing for the patient not to be able to sit or lie on their back for an extended period of time. However, when considering the pros and cons of undergoing a butt enhancement procedure, you should also keep in mind that the results achieved after plastic surgery are permanent and impossible to achieve in any other way.

Do I need a travel companion if I have plastic surgery out of town?

Many patients ask whether they need someone to accompany them after having plastic surgery out of town. The answer is yes; you need a travel companion whether you have plastic surgery in town or out of town. In both cases, you will need a travel companion to accompany you or drive you home after the surgery.

Plastic surgery is a major operation, which means your body will receive trauma, and it can be risky to travel alone on a plane, in a car, or in any other form of transportation. If you plan to fly home by plane following the operation, there are a lot of risks involved and precautions required, which is why it is necessary to have a travel companion. Also, you will not be allowed to fly home immediately after the plastic surgery because the extreme altitude changes and the pressure applied during landing and takeoff can trigger complications.

Furthermore, airplanes are infamous for sheltering viruses and bacteria, which is why traveling immediately after plastic surgery can be risky. To avoid potential risks, you should wait for your body to heal before boarding an airplane. You can safely fly a week after your operation, but even then, you should have a travel companion.

A travel companion is important because you wouldn’t be able to lift your bags, bend, or stretch. Also, there is a risk that you may bump into someone at the airport or lose consciousness. The rise in your blood pressure is also a risk factor. On top of that, you may feel anxious after the surgery. Having a travel companion can help decrease your anxiety.

The postsurgical pain, swelling, and bruising can make things worse for you during travel, especially when you are on your own to lift your luggage, walk, and catch your flight. This bolsters the importance of having a travel companion when traveling after plastic surgery. Furthermore, you will probably be on medications within the first two weeks following your surgery, which means there is a greater risk of losing consciousness. A travel companion can be of great help in such a situation.

During your travel, authorities may ask you for identity documents and passport (if you had plastic surgery abroad). Searching for your documents to present to the authorities when you’re bruised, in pain, and swollen can be very difficult. In such a case, a travel companion is of great help. Your companion will be able to protect your important stuff, including documents, and keep you safe from any potential theft or vandalism.

You will also be able to rest assured that you are in good hands when you have a trusted travel companion with you. Your companion will not only provide you with physical assistance, but also moral and emotional support that you may need throughout the trip. This person will also make sure that your privacy is preserved.

Given the importance of a travel companion after having plastic surgery out of town, you should take along someone you trust who will stick around when you are in need. A good and eager friend or relative can be of great help as a travel companion after your plastic surgery.

Areas where fat can be transferred

Fat transfer is one of the fastest growing plastic surgery procedures in the US. The procedure is used to contour many areas of the body. As the name suggests, the fat transfer procedure involves the use of your own body fat to enhance your body areas. If you have excess and unwanted fat in your body areas, it can be used to enhance other localized areas of your body.

The fat transfer surgery involves the use of liposuction to extract fat cells from the fat donor sites in your body such as the abdomen, sides, flanks, and thighs. The fat is then transferred to the body areas that need contouring or treatment. The common body areas that can be treated via fat transfer include the breasts, butt, face, and hands.

Signs you need fat transfer

There are certain signs that show you need a fat transfer. If your butt is smaller, flatter, or poorly contoured and the condition is making you experience lower self-esteem, it indicates you need fat transfer to the butt. Moreover, if your breasts are smaller or poorly contoured and you want to make them shapelier and projected, the fat transfer surgery can deliver the desired results to you.

Fat transfer is also used to treat facial areas that need contouring. For example, a sunken and creased face is an indication you need a fat transfer. Also, if you previously used temporary fillers to enhance your face that didn’t deliver the desired outcomes, you may consider fat transfer surgery. If your hands are poorly shaped or have depressions, a fat transfer intervention can treat the condition.

Body areas where fat can be transferred

Fat transfer to the breasts: Fat transfer to the breasts is one of the most common, popular, and effective plastic surgery procedures. If you want to add mild to moderate projection to your breasts or want to improve the shape of your breasts, the fat transfer procedure can deliver you just that. However, you must have excess fat in your body, meet all the prerequisites for the surgery, and have good skin quality to be considered a good candidate for the intervention.

The procedure would involve the surgical removal of the fat from the fat donor sites in your body and grafting of the fat to the breasts. After the intervention, your breasts will increase in size and improve in shape. Since your own body fat is used, your breasts will appear completely natural.

The procedure is safer than breast implant surgery. The disadvantage is that weight loss will shrink your breasts because it would affect the fat in your breasts in the same way as it does other areas of your body. Be sure to maintain a stable weight after the surgery.

Fat transfer to the buttocks: More popularly known as the Brazilian butt lift, fat transfer to the butt involves removal of the excess fat from your body areas and grafting of the fat cells into the buttocks. If your butt is smaller, flatter, or poorly contoured, you may consider the fat transfer procedure.

The surgery is performed under IV sedation or general anesthesia. The results of fat transfer to the buttocks are completely natural and the procedure is relatively safer. Once the fat is transferred to the buttocks, your butt will appear toned, fuller, and shapelier. Every year tens of thousands of women undergo the Brazilian butt lift in the US to make their rear ends sexier, voluptuous, and aesthetically appealing.

The fat transfer to the butt can also be performed in association with the butt implant surgery. In other words, the fat would be used over the butt implants in order to further enhance the results achieved with the implants. You must make sure to choose a highly qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon that has a great sense of aesthetics of the female body to perform your procedure.

Fat transfer to the face: Facial fat transfer is yet another commonly performed plastic surgery procedure. Most women seek facial fat transfer to treat wrinkles, facial lines, crow’s feet, and depressed face. The surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia, but depending on your preference, IV sedation and general anesthesia can also be used.

Fat can be removed from the body areas like the abdomen, sides, thighs, and love handles and then grafted into the face. The procedure can also effectively treat areas of the face that appear sunken or weak, poorly shaped, or very thin lips and sunken cheeks.

After the intervention, your face will appear fuller, bright, and aesthetically attractive. The good news is that fat grafts can also be injected in the area between the mouth and nose so the lines are reduced. Wrinkles on the forehead and indentations can also be effectively treated with the fat transfer procedure.

Fat transfer to the hands: The hands are among the most important areas in terms of aesthetics. They are important because you always keep them open and even a minor aesthetic flaw in the hands has the potential to cause lower self-esteem for many patients. The procedure can effectively treat hands that lack volume and hands that have wrinkles.

Fat can also be transferred to the hands to cover visible blood vessels and tendons, besides enhancing the tone of the skin that may have become unpleasant over time. After the intervention, your hands would appear beautiful, with the veins and tendons hidden and the skin much brighter.

Pros and cons of the fat transfer procedure

Before undergoing any plastic surgery procedure, including the fat transfer, patients must consider the pros and cons of the procedure. When it comes to fat transfer, it delivers natural results because it uses your own body fat to enhance your body areas instead of foreign objects or dermal fillers.

For the same reasons, fat transfer surgery is also relatively safer. It does not cause allergic reactions and your immune system would not attack the fat grafts because they come from your own body. The results achieved via fat transfer are long lasting as long as you keep a stable weight. Moreover, the intervention is the least invasive and you would not get scars on the fat recipient areas. Only tiny scars would develop at the fat donor site. The good news is that removal of the excess fat from the fat donor sites would contour those areas as well.

On the other hand, the fat transfer surgery is time-consuming. It requires meticulous work, attention to detail, and the artistry to deliver you the desired results. The fat cells are carefully removed from the body, purified, and then carefully grafted into the recipient areas. The cost of fat transfer is relatively higher, and you may need multiple sessions of fat transfer for the butt and breasts. Also, weight loss will affect the results achieved via fat transfer.

Candidacy for the fat transfer surgery

In order to be a good candidate for the fat transfer surgery, you must be in good physical and mental health. Also, you should have realistic expectations and reasonable and achievable aesthetic goals. Your skin quality must be good enough to not sag after removal of the fat from the fat donor sites.

If you are a smoker, you would be required to stop smoking in order to qualify for the fat transfer surgery. Moreover, you must be considering the intervention for all the right reasons and should be ready to go through a complete recovery process. If you are pregnant, you will not qualify for the procedure.

How is the surgery performed?

The fat transfer procedure starts with extraction of the excess fat from the fat donor sites. The common fat donor areas are the abdomen, thighs, sides, and flanks. Liposuction is performed on the fat donor sites to remove the fat. Liposuction involves the use of a small hollow tube called liposuction cannula.

An incision is placed on the fat donor site, and the cannula is entered through the incisions under the skin. The cannula is carefully moved back and forth to dislodge the fat cells, which are then suctioned out with the help of a low power suction pump or a syringe. The same process is repeated on all fat donor sites, and the incisions are then sutured and closed.

The fat removed from the body is then treated in a centrifuge. The impurities are removed along with the damaged and dead fat cells. In the next step, only the best quality, healthy, and alive fat cells are grafted into the fat recipient area. The surgeon would rely on his surgical skills, sense of aesthetics, and artistry to shape the fat recipient area according to your desires and expectations. The aesthetic results would not be immediately visible. Your body would take the time to establish blood flow to the fat grafts, after which the outcomes would gradually evolve. This can take several months to happen.

Conclusion

Fat transfer is one of the popular plastic surgery procedures. The procedure involves the removal of excess fat from your body and grafting of the fat cells into the body areas that need aesthetic improvement. The common body areas that can be treated via fat transfer are the butt, breasts, hands, and face.

Buttock Augmentation Recovery Guide

Buttock augmentation is a major operation, which means that you will be required to take enough rest during the recovery period and follow your plastic surgeon’s instructions. You may be allowed to go home a few hours following the surgery. However, before going home, your doctor will provide you with detailed instructions for a smooth and safe recovery.

In order to heal quickly and effectively, you must be very careful during the recovery period, which could last for a few weeks. Be sure to take medications like antibiotics and pain relievers on time and according to your surgeon’s instructions.

Your doctor will recommend that you wear compression garments for a few weeks. These garments are meant to contain the swelling, aid in healing, ensure better results, and keep you safe from potential complications like infections and seroma. Make sure to wear these garments for the recommended period.

Recovery after butt augmentation requires sufficient rest. You may take short and slow walks for three to five hours every day to prevent potential blood clotting; however, be sure to take a lot of rest. In addition, you will not be permitted to sit or sleep on your back for the first week because doing so will damage the achieved aesthetic results and trigger complications. Even when you finally start sitting after a week or two, make sure to avoid prolonged sitting.

Majority of butt augmentation patients are able to resume work two weeks following the procedure; however, if your work involves high-endurance activities, you should take a few days off from work. When sitting, place a pillow under your hips and a rolled towel under your thighs so that the pressure is diverted from your butts to your thighs.

For the first five weeks following butt augmentation, driving is strictly discouraged. It is particularly important to avoid driving if you are taking medications.  On the sixth week, you may start to drive short distances; however, make sure to keep a rolled towel under your knees.

When it comes to physical activities, you should avoid the following during the first five weeks after the surgery:

  • bending
  • stretching
  • jumping
  • running
  • walking long distances
  • weightlifting
  • exercising
  • playing sports

From the sixth week onward, you can gradually start doing these activities.

Using the restroom is often a difficult task for the first week after butt augmentation. You may open up your compression garments to use the restroom and then wear them again. It is also possible that you may suffer from constipation due to inactivity during the recovery period. If you do, ask your doctor for stool softener.

When it comes to sexual intercourse, you should avoid it for the first six weeks following the butt augmentation procedure. The reason is during sexual activity, your butts may receive undue force or pressure, which can create complications or result in wound splitting.  After the sixth week, you may resume enjoying sex.

Remember, in order to have a safe, quick, and problem-free recovery, you should follow the tips given in this post and ask your plastic surgeon for specific instructions and recommendations.
